After briefly making an appearance at its ComplexCon booth in October, the LAAMS' "Please Post Bills" Nike Air Force 1 collab release is finally happening this weekend.
The New York City-based creative hub is releasing the sneaker exclusively at its space at 74 Orchard St. this Saturday on a first-come, first-served basis, before it becomes available via SNKRS on Dec. 16. It's worth noting that the project is limited to 2,000 units and retails for $125.
LAAMS says the inspiration behind the design references the green-colored construction walls that are frequently scattered across the Big Apple. On those walls, you'll generally see the message "Post no bills," but for this shoe, LAAMS flips the message with its name, inviting artists to use the walls as their canvas.
The upper features a green woodgrain-inspired leather offset by a sail and baby blue Swoosh on the sides, similar to the design of the LAAMS logo. On the back of the tongue tag is a map of the Lower East Side neighborhood, while the insoles feature a collage of past LAAMS flyers.
