Despite its obvious Christmas connection, Converse says that the style is inspired by the winterberry and how it's one of the few plants that maintains its colors in the winter. That detail also serves as a parallel to Shai's resiliency throughout his basketball career.
The "Winter Red" Shai 001 sports a predominantly red color scheme that's offset by green trim on the zipper and on the branding on the tongue and heel, as well as on the outsole.
