Fresh off the wider drop of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's first signature shoe yesterday with the inaugural "Butter" colorway, Converse has unveiled the next wave of Shai 001 releases.
Arriving in early October is a trio of Shai 001 styles, with each pair dedicated to a specific family member. According to Converse, the "Charm Black" colorway pays homage to Shai's mom, Charmaine, while the "Hail Clay" makeup is a nod to his wife, Hailey. There's also a "Masi Blue" iteration that serves as a nod to Shai's brother Thomasi. An "Ares Grey" colorway inspired by Shai's son was also revealed, but its launch date wasn't.
The Shai 001 is equipped with a molded upper that features puffed panels at the midfoot that give the silhouette a futuristic look. Shai's signature logo is embroidered on the tongue above the zipper shroud, and the model is completed with a Zoom Air-cushioned midsole.
This trio of Shai 001 colorways will be released on Converse.com, Nike SNKRS, and at select retailers for $130 each.
