Earlier today, we tipped you off about the launch of the latest "White" Ultra Boost colorway, and now adidas has dropped off official information on this upgrade to one of 2015's best sneakers.

It turns out that the new Primeknit upper doesn't just look different, but actually functions differently than the original Ultra Boost, too. According to adidas, the Primeknit has been tweaked to be more supportive at the base, while the top is more breathable and flexible than before. The new knit is also tighter in different areas, allowing for channeled support in the places where runners need it most.

Meanwhile, the outsole gets a much-needed upgrade in the form of Continental Rubber. This is the most noteworthy change, as many runners voiced complaints about the durability and traction of the original Ultra Boost's Sprintweb outsole. Unfortunately, it's unlikely that adidas will offer to replace worn down Ultra Boosts with the new and improved pairs, so you'll have to cough up the $180 again.
