Since its inception in 2014, Nike's annual Air Max Day celebration on March 26 has been the brand's way of introducing new product to the market. Last year, the highlight was Sean Wotherspoon's Air Max 1/97 design. In 2019, Nike is using its self-made holiday to give back to the community.
According to retail sources, the sportswear company will not be releasing anything for Air Max Day 2019, but instead is focusing on bettering local communities through the "Give Fresh Air" initiative in collaboration with various athletes and local retailers.
Releases originally planned for Air Max Day will instead be dropping over the upcoming months.
