Soulja Boy claims that he’s working hard to address the ban on TikTok in the United States.

Soulja Boy hopped on X on Sunday to announce that he was in the nation's capital doing his part to save one of the most popular social media services in the country.

“In Washington DC doing meetings trying to get this TikTok ban lifted,” he wrote.

TikTok went dark Saturday night regardless of Soulja Boy, or anyone’s efforts. Users attempting to access the platform on Saturday night received the following message:

"Sorry, TikTok isn't available right now

A law banning TikTok has been enacted in the U.S. Unfortunately, that means you can't use TikTok for now.

We are fortunate that President Trump has indicated that he will work with us on a solution to reinstate TikTok once he takes office. Please stay tuned!"

TikTok’s statement confirms what President-elect Donald Trump said during a recent interview about his potential plan to give the platform a 90-day extension.

Trump recently spoke to NBC about his potential solution for the ban that occurred since the China-based social media app couldn’t find a non-Chinese buyer in the United States.

“I think that would be, certainly, an option that we look at,” Trump said. “The 90-day extension is something that will be most likely done, because it’s appropriate. You know, it’s appropriate. We have to look at it carefully. It’s a very big situation.”

Trump then made it clear that he isn’t fully sold on the idea yet. “If I decide to do that, I’ll probably announce it on Monday,” he added.

YouTuber MrBeast also announced that he’d met with some billionaires about putting together a potential offer to buy the company, which is valued at $300 billion.
