Jennifer Lawrence says that she wants to “obliterate every dog” when her son, Cy, was bitten by one.

Following a screening of her new movie Die My Love in New York City on Jan. 7, the actress revealed how she had to give away the dog she adopted in 2017 after she had children.

Lawrence and her husband, Cooke Maroney, have two sons: Cy, born in 2022, and another son born early 2025.

"It's almost like I don't recognize dogs right now, like I just see them as a threat," she said, per People, admitting how “dogs became so scary” to her.

"One of them bit my son, and that made me just wanna obliterate every dog," she admitted. "I'm just like, 'I'm gonna take out you and your fucking family. You and your friends. I'm gonna go to China and take care of your friends over there. Anyone who looks like you is dead.’”

Lawrence isn’t fully anti-pet, though. The actress explained that she’s since become a cat owner and praised her feline, Fred, for having an amazing personality.

"They're so misunderstood," she explained. "They are assholes and people who don't like that about cats aren't getting that that is what is so funny."

Lawrence admitted last November that she has a secret TikTok account dedicated to rage-baiting commenters. In an interview with Robert Pattinson about Die My Love, the actress unveiled details about her top-secret account.

"I get in fights," she said. "This one girl was like, 'How old are you? Get a life.'"
