Jennifer Lawrence and Husband Cooke Maroney Are Expecting Their First Child Together

Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence is expecting her first child with husband Cooke Maroney, a rep for the 31-year-old actress confirmed to 'People.'

Jennifer Lawrence is expecting her first child with husband Cooke Maroney, a rep for the 31-year-old actress confirmed to People.

Lawrence and Maroney, who’s 37, got engaged in February of 2019 and married in October.

The wedding, which took place in Rhode Island, saw celebrities like Adele, Amy Schumer, Kris Jenner, Cameron Diaz, Emma Stone, Nicole Richie, Ashley Olsen, and others in attendance.

Lawrence has yet to publicly comment on her pregnancy.

While on the podcast NAKED with Catt Sadler back in 2019, Lawrence spoke about wanting to marry Cooke.

“I want to legally bind him to me forever,” she said. “And fortunately the paperwork exists for such a thing. It’s the greatest. You find your favorite person on the planet and you’re like, ‘You can’t leave!’ So I wanted to take that offer.”

The news of Lawrence’s pregnancy arrived just a few hours after the trailer for the Netflix movie Don’t Look Up dropped. The Adam McKay-directed ensemble comedy stars Leonardo DiCaprioJonah Hill, Kid CudiAriana Grande, Timothée Chalamet, Meryl Streep, Tyler Perry, Cate Blanchett, and Lawrence. The film is set to hit select theaters later this year on December 10 and will then make its way to the streamer on Dec. 24.

Lawrence previously starred in 2017’s Mother and 2018’s X-Men: Dark Phoenix.
