India Love shocked the audience at the 2025 Streamer Awards when she stormed the stage to tell everyone who she thought should have won the award for Breakout Streamer of the Year.
When FaZe Adapt was announced as the Breakout Streamer of the Year by the show’s hosts when it was livestreamed on Dec. 6, the crowd erupted in support for the popular streamer. That’s when Love strolled out onto the stage to everyone’s collective surprise, and began talking.
“Streamer of the year went to Adapt, and congratulations, we respect you for what you did. But Raki should have won Breakout Streamer of the Year, and DDG,” she announced to the audience. “I don’t care what y’all say. Shoutout Raki.”
The mood shifted immediately afterwards, with the crowd booing her as security reportedly stepped in to remove Love from the venue.
Love’s moment brought to mind Kanye West’s similar move at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, when he hopped on stage to let the world know he thought Beyoncé should have won the Best Female Video trophy over Taylor Swift.
"Yo, Taylor,” said West, interrupting her acceptance speech. “I’m really happy for you. I'mma let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time.”
Love’s shocking move was the biggest story of the night at the popular award show, followed by Tylil stepping up to Kai Cenat’s defense after a host made an awkward joke comparing him to Diddy.
Cenat was minding his business in the audience when streamer FanFan approached Cenat with a microphone and decided to make a joke about his appearance, just after poling fun at his Streamer University.
]“Oh, and also, congrats on your new documentary with 50 Cent. That was you, right?” she said.
After Tylil spoke up behind her, she gave him the microphone — and he let her have a piece of his mind.
“If you’re going to be on the mic making jokes, at least let it be funny,” he said. “Have a good night.”
