Streamer Tylil James is being praised for coming to Kai Cenat’s defense during a host’s awkward joke at the 2025 Streamer Awards.

The situation unfolded when streamer FanFan, who was gearing up to present an award, decided to jokingly address Cenat, who was in the audience, saying, “This year, as everyone knows, you broke the record for the most expensive haircut and the least educational university.”

With chuckles emanating from the crowd, FanFan went further with another joke.

“Oh, and also, congrats on your new documentary with 50 Cent. That was you, right?” she added, clearly setting up Cenat as a Diddy look-alike.

FanFan chuckled at her own joke as the crowd of streamers in the building grew silent. Then Tylil’s voice could be heard in the background, prompting FanFan to turn around and give him the microphone so everyone could hear what he had to say.

“If you’re going to be on the mic making jokes, at least let it be funny,” he said. “Have a good night.”

Cenat ended up winning three trophies for Best Just Chatting Streamer, Best Streamed Event, and Best Streamed Collab.

When he left the award show, Cenat gave some words of encouragement and appreciation to his supporters.

"I ain't going to lie: to everyone that supports me genuinely, y'all make me happy as fuck," he said. "I appreciate that. And I know people in here aspire to be shit, y'all n****s put that foot on that fucking pedal and go. Most importantly, keep God first. I'm not playing."
