The DoorDash driver who went viral for filming a half-naked customer and sharing the clip online has pleaded not guilty.
Olivia R. Henderson, 23, made her plea in the Oswego County Court in upstate New York on Friday (May 1) to two felony charges, unlawful surveillance in the second degree and dissemination of an unlawful surveillance image in the first degree.
Since each count carries up to four years in prison, she faces a maximum of eight years incarcerated. The charges are non-qualifying offenses, which means Henderson is able to remain free without bail.
According to police, Henderson was working for DoorDash on Oct. 12 when she delivered a Wendy’s order to a customer’s apartment and discovered the door open. The customer, at the time, was reportedly lying on a couch with his pants and underwear pulled down to his ankles with his genitals exposed.
Henderson recorded the man and shared a video about the situation on TikTok, claiming that the customer intentionally exposed himself.
After speaking with the man, who was cooperative in the investigation, they determined that he was “incapacitated and unconscious on his couch due to alcohol consumption.”
Henderson revealed on TikTok that she was banned from using DoorDash after the post. The company also banned the customer.
“Posting a video of a customer in their home, and disclosing their personal details publicly, is a clear violation of our policies,” the company said. “That is the sole reason that this Dasher’s account was deactivated, along with the customer’s, while we investigated.”
The customer at the center of the situation said that he discovered the situation online a week later when he came across the video that had his first name and house number in it.
“This made me feel unsafe, humiliated and upset,” he said.
