Will Ferrell is apparently feeling extra generous this week, as he's now revived two classic Saturday Night Live-era impressions in light of recent events. Just hours after strolling onto Jimmy Kimmel's set to give some Harry Caray thoughts on the Chicago Cubs' World Series berth, Ferrell dropped in on Chris Hardwick's @midnight to urge reasonable Americans to please reject Republican nominee Donald Trump at the polls this November.
To do so, you know Ferrell had to slide back into character as former president George W. Bush. Bush, Hardwick noted to his audience on Tuesday's show, represents the "small but formidable" voting block consisting of former presidents. "Hello, my fellow Americas," Ferrell told the audience. "Hello people of online, especially @WeedBoner69. He's a funny guy, Chris. You should have him on."
After a brief intro, Ferrell's Dubya then opened up about the recent leaked audio of Billy Bush and Trump on the Access Hollywood bus. "First of all, I'd like to say stuff about my cousin Billy Bush," Ferrell said. "He's been in the news a lot lately, him and that disgraced pumpkin Donald Trump talking on that bus. I just wanna say one thing: We Bushes don't act like that. We have standards. We're raised a certain way. We would never, under any circumstances, ride a bus. When you're a Bush, you ride in a limousine or a jet or maybe a monster truck called Sasquatch Express."
Though he insisted he's not "the decider" and thus couldn't make an outright endorsement of Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, Ferrell's Dubya did make his stance quite clear when announcing his family's plans in the event of a Trump presidency. "Laura and I have a very comfortable underground bunker we can move to," he explained, reminding Hardwick that the country would immediately be "overrun with wild dogs and racists" if Trump somehow secures a victory in November.
