We're Screwed: Scientists Found a Bunch of Sharks Living in an Underwater Volcano

It's easy to despise sharks. After all, they inspired one of the most annoying TV movie franchises in recent memory. They also currently seem to be indiscriminately targeting the coast of North Carolina. Not to mention, look what they're doing to America's cat population:

However, what other water-based creature do you know that's supposedly spending a fair amount of time hanging out in the craters of active underwater volcanoes? In the footage above, a group of unsuspecting scientists (heroes) discover an impressively versatile group of sharks doing exactly that — to the joy of everyone, as no one else really has any desire to spend any amount of time on or even near a volcano (underwater or otherwise).

For the record, current statistics posit that your risk of enduring a shark attack — at least outside of underwater volcanoes — is much lower than it was just 50 shark-infested years ago.
