Footage has surfaced of comedian and This Past Weekend host Theo Von seemingly grabbing a man by the throat after being antagonized at a restaurant in the Broadway area of Nashville.

According to a report from TMZ, the decidedly brief video was captured earlier this month. In it, Von is seen standing in what appears to be the bottom floor of the three-level, Justin Timberlake-backed Twelve Thirty Club. A man holding balloons then approaches Von, resulting in a tense exchange that ultimately leads to the comedian appearing to put a hand on the man’s neck to push him away.

In TMZ's report, sources are cited as saying that the man seen in the video had been harassing Von in the minutes leading up to the moment in question. Furthermore, per the report, the man was part of a larger group that had “repeatedly harassed” the comedian prior to what's seen in the footage.

"The individual in question approached Von and then continued to harass and antagonize him and his guests and crossed the line with suspicious and threatening language and behavior,” a source close to the situation tells Complex.

Also this month, Von brought his Return of the Rat tour to Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. The venue serves as the home base of the Nashville Predators hockey team and is steps away from the Twelve Thirty Club. According to Wednesday’s report, the incident occurred on May 2, one day prior to Von's show.

For now, Von hasn’t addressed the clip making the rounds on social media, nor has he publicly commented on the TMZ report. Meanwhile, the latest episode of This Past Weekend finds Von again welcoming Sundae Conversations host Caleb Pressley.

Complex has reached out to reps for Theo Von and the Twelve Thirty Club for comment. This story may be updated.
