LaBeouf, Rönkkö, and Turner's 'He Will Not Divide Us' Relaunches From Secret Location

LaBeouf, Rönkkö, and Turner have relaunched their 'He Will Not Divide Us' project from a secret location.

He Will Not Divide Us has returned. The latest LaBeouf, Rönkkö & Turner collab initially launched on the day of Trump's inauguration as a livestream broadcast from the Museum of the Moving Image in New York. After less than a month, however, the Museum abandoned the project. Shia LaBeouf, Nastja Säde Rönkkö, and Luke Turner then moved the stream to the El Rey Theater in New Mexico. That stream was also removed, citing reports of shots being fired in the area:

This week, the projected was relaunched from an undisclosed location. "A flag emblazoned with the words 'HE WILL NOT DIVIDE US' will be flown for the duration," the project's official website said. At the time of this article's publication, the livestream was going strong. The flag, however, was not present after apparently being removed Thursday night.

In a group statement released following the Museum of the Moving Image's abandonment of the project last month, the trio criticized the Museum's "damning" lack of commitment. "From the outset, the museum failed to address our concerns about the misleading framing of our piece as a political rally, rather than as a participatory performance artwork resisting the normalization of division," the statement said. "In fact, the museum demonstrated a spectacular lack of judgment—and courtesy to us as artists—by neglecting to consult us when they staged a political rally at the site of our artwork on January 29, 2017."

He Will Not Divide Us is just the latest in the group's ever-growing list of participatory performance projects, including last year's #ANDINTHEEND and the one that started it all: 2014's I AM NOT FAMOUS ANYMORE.
