Shia LaBeouf has unveiled details on his latest @TheCampaignBook collaboration with Luke Turner and Nastja Säde Rönkkö. As part of the Sydney Opera House's inaugural Bingefest, the trio will deliver their latest interactive experience #AndInTheEnd. Speaking with the Age Friday, the collective explained that their latest work is a continuation of the "human connection" discovered in previous collabs such as #TakeMeAnywhere and #TouchMySoul.

"This isn't like the art I saw when I was growing up, where you walk into the gallery and there is paint splattered and shit everywhere," LaBeouf said Friday. "I hated stuff that was hard for me to understand. It made me hate art. That's why my generation stays away from museums. We feel like we're not invited. It feels like you have to have a diploma or a degree to feel something. While the structure of our work is heady, the experience is quite chesty." For #AndInTheEnd, the chesty vibes will thankfully continue.

The experience, described by LaBeouf as art that's "no bullshit," will see the trio onstage at the Opera House's Joan Sutherland Theatre as one person at a time enters and speaks the words, "And in the end." From there, anything is possible. "It gives you the mental space you need to connect people," Rönkkö said of the need for durational performances. "It's just natural. Human connection always leads to something. Connections are a starting point, a way to get somewhere but we don't know where that somewhere is. It is different for everyone every time."

That level of unpredictability, Turner told the Age Friday, is essential. "Like all our works we don't know exactly what it is until it's started," he said. "It's not like we are putting out a finished piece." #AndInTheEnd kicks off in Sydney Saturday at 11:59 p.m., running until 6 a.m. before picking back up again at 10:00 p.m. the following day. The free event will also be livestreamed. For more info, just peep this.
