Not only is Kai Cenat aiming to prevent other streamers from launching their own take on his (not formally accredited) Streamer University program, but he’s also promising fans that he will be heading a Total Drama Island-inspired gathering of streamers at some point in the future.
While details remain scarce as of this writing, Cenat shared the confirmation during a recent stream in which he pointed to a clip from “a long ass time ago” of him first discussing the idea.
“One thing that I will confirm, I will be doing in the future is a Total Drama Island vibe with streamers,” Cenat told the chat. “Now, we don’t know when this is going to be but do know that I can confirm that. … A lot of things are being talked about and I’m seeing it.”
Total Drama Island is an animated parody of the long-running competitive reality series Survivor, which recently announced that The White Lotus creator Mike White would be returning for a new season. The series is a key title in Kai’s lineup of personal favorites, as he made clear on Tuesday.
“It’s one of my favorite TV shows, cartoon,” he said. “If you don’t know what it is, that’s cool.”
It’s unclear when fans can expect Kai’s competitive streamers project to kick off, and other details—i.e., location and participants—have not been announced. Also unclear is whether the project will be animated or live-action, or whether it'll be a parody akin to the original or an actual competition series.
Last month, Cenat brought his near-endless stream to the American Music Awards, resulting in multiple breakout moments, including his realtime reaction to Eminem winning Favorite Male Hip-Hop Artist at the fan-voted ceremony.
