India Royale has spoken out amid criticism against Lil Durk over comments he made in a recent interview about her sexual history.

Durk, as part of an extended interview with the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast, described himself as “petty as hell” when discussing relationships. On the topic of India, to whom he’s engaged, Durk pointed to her “body count” as being personally important to him.

“I’m petty as hell,” Durk said, as seen in the clip below. “Like, if you fucked a lot of n***as and all that, I ain’t gonna wife you. But that’s me. ... But it’s, like, everything about her. Being real, not cheating, she ain’t been passed around. It was, like, her body count. That’s what really did it.”

As the clip in question started making the rounds, commentary started stacking up, with the general consensus being that one’s sexual history shouldn’t be treated in this fashion. India has since responded to the pushback, namely advising those who are worried about her fiancé to procure one of their own.

“Idgaf what people think about my fiancé,” she said in one tweet. “That’s why he mine, get you one.”

Elsewhere, India also responded to a couple of related tweets, including a detailed one that touched on the inherent unfairness of how sexual histories are often treated within relationships.

Drake Reacts to Lil Durk’s India Royale Shout-Out on ‘Certified Lover Boy’

On Drake and Lil Durk's second collaboration "In the Bible," the latter used his verse to shout out his girlfriend's cosmetic line, and Drizzy is here for it.

In another clip from the Durk interview, which is out in full on Thursday afternoon, the 7220 artist was asked “What is love to you?” and answered with a look back at how his life changed when he first met India.

“I called my manager, like, ‘I need a house,’” Durk recalled, noting that—at the time—he was “just thuggin’ it” with his friends in a largely empty home.

“We didn’t have no fucking bowls or nothing in that motherfucker,” he added. “We were just thuggin’ it. That’s when [King Von] first came home. … I’m like, nah, I can’t do this shit. Without her, I’d probably still be thuggin’ it right now.”

Durk’s new album 7220 is out Friday. Last week, he was among those assembled for King Von’s posthumously released What It Means to Be King album.
