Druski is bringing his repeatedly proven penchant for high-stakes hilarity to the 2026 BET Awards.

Thursday (April 30), the prolific comedian was announced as the host of this year’s show, which is set for June 28.

“I told BET if I’m hosting, we gon’ do this my way,” Druski said in his announcement video. “Rule No. 1: Jamie Foxx, take that big ass hat off. Rule No. 2: Sexyy Red? No leggings, rompers, or bodysuits. We don’t need no wrestlers, no wrestlers on the red carpet. Black suit and tie. Rule No. 3: YNs? Take the ski masks off, man. Stop. Stop it. Rule No. 4: Megapastors, listen. I know y’all on my back right now. I’ve been getting the DMs and the threats. Just leave it up to God. We gon’ lock them doors, and can’t nobody get out. Welcome to the 2026 BET Awards.”

The gig comes at an ideal time, as Druski, arguably, is currently more in-demand than ever. 2026 has seen him providing commentary for The Voice’s latest season, all while continuing to deliver hilarious and often elaborate sketches.

Back in March, for example, he donned extensive makeup and a blonde wig for a video parodying “how conservative women in America act” that has since garnered nearly 200 million views on X alone. As we reported at the time, the joke was handily extended when Grok, X’s AI chatbot, misidentified a screenshot of Druski in makeup as Erika Kirk.

This was followed shortly after by us being tasked with debunking false claims positing that Druski had revealed a white grandfather amid the public reaction to the video. At the time, X was flooded with posts claiming that the comedian had revealed such a relative, with those making the claims, notably, pulling images from a then-recent IG post in an effort to bolster the fabrication. A rep, however, was quick to confirm to Complex that the man included in the photos was actually merely a neighbor from Druski’s childhood.
