Zendaya Says There’s No Such Thing as a ‘Perfect Marriage’ Amid Wedding Rumors

Zendaya says being best friends matters more than a 'perfect' marriage as rumors about a secret wedding with Tom Holland grow.

In a recent interview with Views, Zendaya was asked what she thinks a “perfect marriage” looks like. This comes amid widespread speculation from fans that she and her Spider-Man co-star, Tom Holland, are secretly married. As for her response? There’s no such thing as a “perfect marriage.”

“I don’t know if there’s any such as a ‘perfect marriage,’” she revealed to the French magazine. “But I'd say like people who, I don't know, this is a corny answer, seem like best friends."

While Holland and Zendaya have remained tight-lipped over their potential nuptials, fans are noticing several Easter eggs, including Zendaya’s dedication to wearing bridal white gowns during recent premiere events.

The rumors of their “secret marriage” became even more widespread when Zendaya’s stylist, Law Roach, said the pair already got married without telling the press. Roach told Access Hollywood in March, “The Wedding already happened. You missed it.”

The ‘Spider-Man’ Co-Stars Had ‘Embarrassing’ First Meeting

Despite Zendaya and Holland’s current relationship success, things weren’t always so smooth between the actors. In fact, according to Holland, his first time meeting Zendaya was rather “embarrassing.”

Holland and Zendaya officially met in 2016, during a chemistry read for their movie, Spider-Man Homecoming. Since the pair play romantic interests in the film, they were required to do a “chemistry read” during the audition process to see if they could make their romance believable on screen.

Yet according to Holland, he had a hard time maintaining his cool in front of Zendaya. “My first time meeting with Zendaya was very embarrassing, actually, for me,” the actor revealed to The Hollywood Reporter back in 2016. “It was just one of those moments where it wasn’t my smoothest moment.”
