Iconic supermodel Heidi Klum, the original Project Runway host from 2004 to 2017, is returning for Season 21 in a move she describes as “like coming home.”
On Wednesday, July 30, 52-year-old Klum sat down with E! News to chat about coming back to host the reality series after an eight-year hiatus.
“I helped create the show, and I love the show, and it's my first baby,” Klum said. “Why not come back to my first baby?”
She continued, "It was a very easy yes for me."
The German-American model's return has her reuniting with fellow judge Nina Garcia, Season 4 winner Christian Siriano (who will be hosting Season 21), and celebrity stylist Law Roach. Other guest judges slated to appear this season include comedian Nikki Glaser, former judge Michael Kors, America's Next Top Model creator Tyra Banks, and actress Sofía Vergara.
Fans of the show have taken to social media to share their excitement about the new season.
"Law roach will be so good imo. And I love Siriano as a mentor. He has the unique perspective of being a former winner," said someone on Reddit.
"I waited SO long for Heidi's return to @projectrunway," commented a fan on Instagram. Another commenter chimed in with, "YESSSS counting down!"

Season 21 of Project Runway kicks off with twelve new designers split into two rival fashion houses, each challenged to craft looks inspired by iconic Disney princesses and villains. The first two episodes of the iconic fashion reality series will premiere on Thursday, July 31 at 9p.m. on streaming service Freeform. Episodes will also be available to stream on Hulu and Disney+ after they air.
