Fans are absolutely losing it over a new shirtless photo of Chris Hemsworth posted to Instagram by his brother, Liam Hemsworth.
To celebrate the Thor actor’s 42nd birthday on Monday, August 11, Liam uploaded a photo to his profile of him and his two brothers, Chris and Luke Hemsworth, with a heartfelt message.
“Happy birthday brother Chris! Thanks for always being such a wonderful legend,” Liam wrote online. “Never change. I hope I have abs like you when I grow up. Love you.”
The selfie shows Chris, Liam, and Luke on holiday in Ibiza, Spain. It looks like they are on a boat together, with the blue sea and a sprawling landscape behind them.
Both Liam, 35, and Luke, 44, are wearing plain t-shirts, with Liam in a hat and Luke wearing sunglasses. Chris, however, is shirtless and smiling, with his abs capturing the attention of many fans.
“Mammamia,” one fan wrote in awe.

Another fan uploaded a gif of a woman fanning her face with the words, “I need to lie down,” underneath the image.
“I’m literally panting…” someone else wrote, clearly surprised by the birthday boy’s physique.
Chris’ wife, Elsa Pataky, shared her own post to Instagram to celebrate her husband’s birthday, which included silly photos and videos that showcase his humor and family-man lifestyle.
She wrote, “Happy Birthday to my Rocky Balboa 😂. You’re the best of the best ❤️@chrishemsworth.”
His great physique may be the result of his preparing to reprise the role of Thor in the upcoming movie, Avengers: Doomsday. He recently shared a workout video to his profile with the caption, “A little Avengers pre game warm up, coming in hot 💪👊 @centrfit @marvelstudios.”
The highly anticipated move is set to be released in December of 2026.
