Selena Gomez's mother, Mandy Teefey has not been holding back lately when it comes to her daughter's life decisions. Just a few days ago, Teefey commented on her disapproval of her daughter's rekindled romance with Justin Bieber (which literally sent her to the hospital), and now she's speaking up about Selena's participation in Woody Allen's latest movie.

Some Selena fans online have been looking for a statement from the pop star regarding her decision to work with director and alleged creep Woody Allen on his film A Rainy Day in New York. The movie, surprise surprise, is about a college professor who pursues a 15-year-old. Teefey responded to one fan's request on Instagram, saying "I had a long talk with her about not working with him and it didn't click." Teefy insisted that "there is no fall person here," in regards to her management team, and that her daughter "makes all her own decisions."

Since the film has completed production, cast members Griffin Newman, Rebecca Hall and Timothée Chalamet have all expressed regret in working with Allen and announced that they would be donating their salaries to charities like RAINN, the LGBT Center of New York, and the Time's Up movement. Gomez has yet to comment in depth about her involvement in the film, aside from an interview with Billboard wherein she said, "The universe works in interesting ways."
