Tessa Thompson has revealed that her relationship with long-time co-star Michael B. Jordan has evolved into that of an "old married couple," after more than a decade of working together on the Creed franchise.

Appearing on the talk show Sherri, Thompson discussed the deep bond the two have formed while portraying Bianca and Adonis Creed, noting that they have been making these films for over a decade and now consider each other family. To maintain their authentic onscreen chemistry for the last installment, Thompson shared that they even attended couples therapy together while remaining in character.

She explained the decision, saying, "We've been making these films for over 10 years together, so at this point we're kind of like family, and we are like an old married couple, we know each other so well... we actually went to therapy together, but as Bianca and Adonis."

While Thompson described Jordan as "annoyingly not annoying" and a "lovely person," she did admit to one specific "challenging" habit he has: initiating video calls without any prior notice. Thompson told host Sherri Shepherd, "the one thing that maybe I haven't told him that is I would say not annoying it's cute but it's challenging he will FaceTime you without warning you that he's going to FaceTime you."

The actress also confessed that these surprise calls often catch her off-guard and unprepared for the camera.

"For whatever reason, I'm never. It's not cute on my end. Do you know what I mean? Like, I'm not ready to be, yeah, on FaceTime on a big screen with him," she added.

Thompson admitted that she occasionally has to screen his calls to make herself presentable before calling him back.

"Sometimes I don't answer and really quickly get myself together, and then I'm like 'Oh, sorry, I was just...sorry,'" she said.

According to the actress, Jordan isn't the only male friend who prefers FaceTiming; she mentioned that Colman Domingo is also a "big FaceTime" user who once called her while she was in the bathtub to critique her Golden Globes outfit.

Despite the occasional inconvenience of these unannounced calls, Thompson concluded that being willing to answer such a call is the "mark of true friendship."
