'Jackass' Episodes Back on Paramount+ After Digital Restoration: 'Heck Yeah!!'

The original Jackass TV series is streaming once again on Paramount+ after being taken down last year by the show's creators.

All three seasons, comprising 25 episodes, were restored after Johnny Knoxville and the Jackass crew had the show pulled from the platform at the end of 2025.

The reason was that episodes had been re-cut, reordered, and rescored over the decades until they bore little resemblance to the original broadcast that aired on MTV back in 2000.

"Wonderful news to share! We have restored the original Jackass television episodes back to how they initially aired," Knoxville said in an Instagram post. "Over time they had been re-edited, re-sequenced, and re-scored to the point we did not recognize them. But kudos to @paramountpics and paramountplus for stepping up and giving us the money to do this. ❤️ "

Announcing the episodes were back on streaming, Knoxville also teased the next film in the Jackass franchise: "Heck yeah!!🎉🎉 And Jackass: Best and Last will be out only in theaters June 26th. Wahoo!!❤️."

The scrambled home-video history of the show runs deep. When Paramount first brought Jackass to physical media, pranks were shuffled out of sequence, and volumes 2 and 3 hit shelves before volume 1 ever did.

The franchise debuted on MTV in fall 2000, quickly becoming both a cultural phenomenon and a magnet for controversy. Two years later, Jackass: The Movie moved the crew to theaters and kicked off a film series that has continued ever since.

The restored episodes are available to U.S. subscribers right now, with other regions coming online over the next few weeks. Their return sets the stage for Jackass: Best and Last, the fifth and final film in the franchise, which is scheduled to hit theaters on June 26.
