Charlize Theron isn’t losing sleep over missing Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s star-studded wedding celebration in Venice.
The Oscar-winning actress took the stage at her fifth annual Block Party on Saturday night, held on the Universal Studios Backlot, to support the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project. During her speech, Theron joked about being one of the few not invited to the exclusive festivities.
"I think we might be the only people who did not get an invite to the Bezos wedding. But that’s OK because they suck and we’re cool,” said Theron.
Theron was clearly joking about not getting invited to the wedding, as well as her thoughts on those who did.
Theron had also used her moment on stage to criticize President Donald Trump’s immigration policies, remarking, “The world feels like it’s burning.”
Bezos’ wedding took place on June 27 and was held on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore. The celebrations included a welcome party on Thursday. Guests that showed up to the ceremony include Tom Brady, Orlando Bloom, Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King, Tommy Hilfiger, Usher, Jewel, the Kardashians, and more.
