Charlamagne Tha God has weighed in on the sagas involving comedian Akaash Singh and his wife, Jasleen Singh.

On a recent episode of The Brilliant Idiots, Charlamagne reacted to the intense online attention surrounding Jasleen's podcast appearances, where casual comments about her past dating experiences and early relationship with Akaash were clipped, reposted, and turned into major social media talking points.

"Why does your wife have a microphone in her face?" Charlamagne said during the discussion. "Do not allow your wife to start a fucking podcast, bro. There can be one entertainer in this family, and it shall be me. I'm the comedian… you don't need a microphone in your face because you gonna fuck around and ruin us. Not just you, us."

He added that as a husband, he would publicly defend his wife no matter the circumstances, saying, "I don't want to have to explain, 'cause as my wife, I'm always gonna have my wife's back."

Charlamagne's comments came as the internet continues to analyze and pick apart remarks Jasleen made on the Main Character podcast, where she discussed her college dating life, clarified misconceptions about having a "roster," and addressed rumors around her and Akaash's early relationship.

Jasleen later explained that her "roster" consisted of only "two guys [she] was talking to and flirting with at the same time," adding that her references to "hooking up"mostly meant "making out." She noted that her words are often amplified online because they contrast with her real-life personality.

The couple also addressed speculation about their sexual history, with Jasleen stating that she and Akaash were each other's "firsts," though both had casually dated before. The Flagrant team framed the discussion with humor, but the clips quickly spread, leading to widespread commentary.

Akaash has repeatedly defended his wife in both podcasts and stand-up. In a resurfaced set, he shared that Jasleen supported him through his lowest years, including a period where they were essentially homeless and sleeping on a hardwood floor. "You could go be with an Indian who's a doctor," he recalled thinking at the time. "You're a beautiful girl… I didn't know what my life was gonna be."
