Jamie Foxx Performs ‘Gold Digger’ After DJ Khaled Pulls Him From Crowd at Carbone Beach

What started as a four-course dinner on the sand turned into a surprise set with Jamie Foxx, Kevin Hart, Fat Joe, Wyclef Jean, and DJ Khaled during F1 weekend in Miami.

Jamie Foxx is an Oscar-winning actor, a Grammy-winning R&B singer, and, apparently, not someone who stays in the crowd for long. He was just spotted at Carbone Beach during Miami Race Week, where what started as a four-course dinner on the sand turned into something nobody had on the schedule.

On Friday, May 1, Major Food Group and American Express kicked off the fifth annual Amex x Carbone Beach — the exclusive three-night supper club set during the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix weekend.

According to Sports Illustrated, the evening's scheduled headliner was Ludacris, who recently received the Landmark Award at the iHeartRadio Music Awards for his 25-year career. During the set, the rapper brought out Fat Joe for "Lean Back," Wyclef Jean for "Ready or Not," and DJ Khaled for "All I Do Is Win."

That's when things went off-script. Khaled pulled Foxx straight out of the audience for an unplanned run through "Gold Digger" and "Blame It." Kevin Hart then joined the pair on stage to close out the night. World Red Eye described it as "an impromptu, crowd-pleasing finale."

People obtained footage of the performance and shared it on social media, where reactions quickly poured into the comments section.

"Sounded great! Classic vocals! 🔥 🎵," one person wrote.

"Nothing better than a fantastic sounding acapella! 🙌🔥," another added.

"Jamie can literally do anything 🙌," chimed in a third.

"Luv me some Jamie 💪🏽🙌❤️," someone else added.

The crowd was just as stacked as the stage. Per a press release from the event, Hailey Bieber, Alix Earle, Draymond Green, Kevin O'Leary, Stassi Schroeder, Michael Porter Jr., and Sistine and Scarlett Stallone were all in attendance. That tracks for Carbone Beach, which since launching in 2022 has drawn names like LeBron James, Tom Brady, Jeff Bezos, Patrick Mahomes, and Serena Williams.

After the Carbone Beach performance wrapped, the party spilled into the rest of Miami Race Week, with Hart and Ludacris later spotted at E11EVEN during Alesso’s DJ set.

As for Foxx, Friday’s appearance adds to what’s already been a nonstop stretch. He released his Netflix stand-up special What Had Happened Was... in December 2024, returned to the screen alongside Cameron Diaz in Back in Action in January 2025, and dropped “Somebody,” his first official solo single in over a decade, this past February. He’s also set to star in the upcoming boxing drama Fight for ’84.
