It’s official: Pop the Balloon or Find Love is getting the streaming treatment.

Since debuting on YouTube in late 2023, the speed dating series has become a cultural phenomenon, including its own Saturday Night Live parody featuring Dave Chappelle.

After racking up millions of views over 48 episodes, the program is making its way to Netflix. The streaming giant announced the move on Thursday, explaining how Pop the Balloon Live would differ from the original.

“We couldn’t be more excited to expand and reimagine Pop the Balloon on Netflix,” executive producer Matt Sharp said in a press release. “This new iteration builds on the original’s core concept while pushing the boundaries of connection, chemistry, and unpredictability.”

The original version—created by Bolia Matundu and Arlette Amuli—featured a single contestant attempting to find romance among a group of potential suitors holding red balloons. The contestants narrow their choices through a process of elimination; if they’re not interested in a guy or girl, they simply pop the balloon to signal the rejection.

According to Netflix, the updated iteration will be hosted by actress Yvonne Orji (Insecure, Night School, The Blackening) and feature “higher stakes, fresh twists,” and celebrity appearances.

Notable guests will include Johnny "Bananas" Devenanzio (The Challenge, The Traitors), Chase DeMoor (Too Hot To Handle), Farrah Abraham (Teen MomCelebrity Big Brother), and Zaina Sesay (The Ultimatum).

Matundu and Amuli have also signed on as executive producers.

“We’re thrilled to see Pop the Balloon take on a new life on Netflix,” Matundu and Amuli said in a joint statement. “From day one, we’ve kept love and fun at the heart of the show, and watching it evolve and soar beyond our wildest dreams has been truly exciting.”

Pop the Balloon Live will debut at 8 p.m. ET on April 10 on Netflix, with new episodes airing every Thursday.
