Dave Chappelle Brings Back Silky Johnson Character for 'SNL'

Donnell Rawlings joined him to play Ashy Larry in a parody of 'Pop The Balloon.'

Dave Chappelle revived his iconic character Silky Johnson for an SNL sketch.

The famous comedian brought Johnson back for a parody of the "Pop The Balloon" dating series. Acting as a contestant, Silky, who originally appeared as a character on Chappelle's Show, reviewed the ladies instead of them reviewing him.

“Sweet day and salutations ladies,” said Chappelle (as Silky). “My name is Silky Johnson. A little bit about me. I’m a purveyor of precious goods and services, i.e., bitches.”

Johnson was later asked if he was a sex trafficker, to which he responded, “I don’t do traffic, I take helicopters.”

Chappelle also brought along Donnell Rawlings as Johnson’s partner in crime, Beautiful. When the women started popping balloons, Rawlings (as Beautiful) got alarmed, saying, “Silky, they’re shooting.”

After Johnson left the room, Rawlings portrayed another iconic Chappelle's Show character, Ashy Larry, as a contestant for which all of the balloons were popped.

Chappelle was the host of Saturday Night Live this weekend with musical guest GloRilla. The comedian started off the show with a 17-minute monologue about multiple topics including Diddy, the Los Angeles wildfires, and Donald Trump.

Speaking to Trump, Chappelle gave him some advice for his upcoming term.

"Remember: Whether people voted for you or not, they're all counting on you," Chappelle said. "Whether they like you or not, they're all counting on you. The whole world is counting on you. I mean this when I say this: Good luck. Please, do better next time."

Chappelle’s bit about Diddy and his sexual assault allegations centered around the fact that he “wasn’t invited” to Diddy’s parties. He joked that this made him realize, “Oh, my God, I’m ugly.”
