Abbott Elementary creator and star Quinta Brunson and her estranged husband Kevin Anik have mutually settled their divorce.

The seemingly amicable agreement comes six months after Brunson filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. A judge will need to sign off on their settlement in order to make their divorce official, per TMZ.

According to People, the two tied the knot in October 2021. Brunson has been incredibly private about her relationship with Anik, outside of mentioning him in her acceptance speeches, and announcing their engagement on Instagram in 2020.

In an interview with Katie Heaney for Bustle, the Emmy winner opened up about keeping her life out of the public eye in light of outlets reporting her divorce filing.

"I remember seeing people be like, 'She announced her divorce,'" Brunson said. "I didn't announce anything."

"I think people have this idea that people in the public eye want the public to know their every move," Brunson continued. "None of us do. I promise you. No one wants [everyone] to know when you buy a house, when you move, when a major change happens in your personal life. It's just that that's public record information."

While details regarding their divorce settlement are unknown at the moment, People speculates that their written agreement likely includes an arrangement regarding spousal support.
