Chuck Norris’ family has issued a warning about AI-generated posts containing “false and misleading information” regarding the action star’s death.

In a statement shared on Instagram Stories on Wednesday (April 1), his family said they are aware of these posts that have been circulating online centered around “the circumstances of his passing, his health history, and who was present.”

“These claims are entirely untrue,” the statement reads. “This includes fabricated reports of past medical issues, as well as false narratives surrounding family relationships.”

“We kindly ask that you do not believe or share any information unless it comes directly from the Norris family or an official family representative,” the statement continued.

When Norris’ family announced the news of his passing late last month, they expressed a desire to not share the circumstances of his death with the public.

“While we would like to keep the circumstances private, please know that he was surrounded by his family and was at peace,” the statement reads.

The family confirmed that Norris was hospitalized prior to his death, but they did not say anything further about it.

Norris will be remembered for his role in Walker, Texas Ranger and starring alongside Bruce Lee in the 1972 movie The Way of the Dragon. Norris experienced an unexpected resurgence in popularity in the mid-2000s, thanks to the “Chuck Norris facts” moment that went viral.
