Chris Redd has cleared up a comment he made about selling pills to his Saturday Night Live castmates.
TMZ caught up with Redd in New York City on Wednesday (Jan. 14) where he decided to address some lingering questions about the emotional video that was posted on Instagram last week.
"I was being facetious about the drug dealing thing," he said at the 1:35 mark in the TMZ post below. "I wasn't drug dealing to my castmates or no shit. I wasn't dropping off a pack. I wasn't Walter White-ing."
In the video, Redd admitted to having "pill issues," adding, "Nothing too crazy, but crazy for my Black ass." He followed that up by saying he was "even selling some to some of my castmates" before reassuring those alleged people that he would not snitch on them.
The comedian tells TMZ that his "pill issues" were specifically to Adderall and Xanax, which he was getting illegally because he was "scared" of being told by a doctor that he's "crazy."
"I was wording things, trying to make light of it because I was feeling super vulnerable and raw at the time," Redd explained.
