Tia Mowry has embraced the positives of her 2023 divorce from actor Cory Hardict.

To promote her new We TV and ALLBLK reality show, Tia Mowry: My Next Act, on Tuesday (October 3), the actress was a guest on TODAY with Hoda & Jenna, where she discussed her personal post-divorce evolution. Mowry was married to Hardict from 2008 to 2023 and the ex-spouses share a 13-year-old son, Cree, and 6-year-old daughter, Cairo.

Along with clearing the air on her strong relationship with her twin sister, Tamera Mowry-Housley, at the 3-minute mark of the episode, Mowry shared how she's progressed after her divorce.

"I think the one thing that has stood out for me is change will always win. Change is constant," Mowry said. "As you create boundaries,
your circle gets smaller. When you are living in the present, that's where the magic happens. There's peace. There's gratitude."

She continued, "The biggest change, the thing that I've learned about myself, is taking responsibility for my own pain and suffering."

"So, you know, therapy, journaling, spending time with myself. Solitude is not punishment," Mowry said. "And I'm excited about my new chapter."

But unlike the loneliness she admitted to feeling in the sneak peek of her new show, Mowry went on to express that "loneliness and solitude are two different things." The former Sister, Sister star has now resolved to focus on herself and her children.

"I feel like I've learned so much, and I can't wait to apply that to my new [potential] relationship, but I'm already doing that," Mowry said, adding, "I can already see myself being a better mother and just being present with my friendships."

Hardict was a recent guest on The Pivot Podcast, where he also attested to rediscovering peace in the aftermath of his divorce from Mowry.

"I'm taking a day at a time still to this day, really," Hardict said around the 30-minute mark of the video below. "I just take it a day at a time. Black men have feelings. Black men hurt. Black men are in pain."

Elsewhere, he said, "I look at my kids and say 'Daddy got you forever. I look at my daughter when they smile at me, and they know Daddy really loves them. My son knows 'Daddy really loves me. That's what brings me joy right now and that's what keeps me saying, 'I'm on my way.'
