Shia LaBeouf has continued partying on New Orleans’ Bourbon Street one week after being arrested in the aftermath of a violent incident.
On Monday (February 23), the Megalopolis actor shared a clip on X of him enjoying a live performance from NOLA funk legend George Porter Jr. and his band Runnin’ Pardners (Mike Lemmler on keys, Terrence Houston on drums, and Chris Adkins on guitar) at the Maple Leaf Bar. LaBeouf also took a picture with Porter, dubbing the 78-year-old musician, best known for his work with The Meters, a “NOLA legend.” You can, if you want, watch Monday night’s performance for yourself (both sets!) here.
LaBeouf has also embraced the New Orleans art scene by purchasing pieces by local painter Jessica Strahan, as seen in the TikTok below.
The actor, who purchased a home in New Orleans last year, has spent a considerable amount of time in the The Big Easy since Mardi Gras. Some of that time made headlines, when he got into a scuffle with a group of bar-goers during the local holiday.
Last Tuesday (February 17), the 39-year-old was arrested around 12:45 a.m. on the 1400 block of Royal Street, where two male victims were reportedly assaulted. One video from the incident showed LaBeouf being repeatedly punched while on the ground and being warned to stay down.
The entertainer was transported to a local hospital to treat injuries from the incident and was arrested on two counts of simple battery before being released on bail. He immediately returned to Bourbon Street and was even spotted by local news outlet WGNO-TV partying among Mardi Gras attendees.
Another reporter from The Guardian reportedly went to LaBeouf’s nearby home to question the actor about his recent arrest but was rebuffed. The Disturbia star allegedly called the female journalist a “silly bitch” and told her to leave.
Other footage from LaBeouf’s time in NOLA showed him kissing a mystery woman, as it was recently confirmed that he separated from actress Mia Goth last year. The couple, who both starred in 2013 erotic film Nymphomaniac: Vol. II, married in 2016 and share a three-year-old daughter, Isabel.
