Frequent cooking sessions have made Benny Blanco and Selena Gomez inseparable.
On social media, the music producer and cookbook author has captured his enjoyment of cooking, and during a virtual chat for Gomez's makeup brand, R.E.M. Beauty, the 32-year-old discussed how the couple bond over food.
During a Q&A segment of the event, the Only Murders in the Building actress shared what advice she'd give to her younger self.
After answering "Don't be so hard on myself," Gomez expressed that her feelings of insecurity have been alleviated by staying present like she is while in the kitchen with Blanco.
"I love fresh foods and stuff. I'm starting to get into that kind of because of my boyfriend," Gomez said. "Just being in the garden and picking food that I'm going to be able to cook with. It sounds so silly and minuscule, but the older you get, the more that you realize that it's okay to just be simple and have simplicity."
"One of the things I'm doing, for example, is we're making a bunch of tamales, which is one of my favorites, and we're going to be giving them to a bunch of random friends," Gomez continued. "We're just gonna randomly do that one day, and that's a long process, but it's so fun. We're gonna listen to music and have a drink and make tamales and go give it to our friends."
In late April, Blanco documented himself making another one of Gomez's favorite meals, steak, potatoes and salad, before delivering it to her home.
