Kai Cenat's Atlanta auditions for his Streamer University have been shut down due to the crowds of applicants being unmanageable.
According to FOX 5 Atlanta, the event attracted a large crowd outside of State Farm Arena on Wednesday morning (June 17), after originally being scheduled to take place on Monday (June 15). By the afternoon, the venue announced that the event was shut down.
"Due to the overwhelming number of people attending today’s Kai Cenat 'Streaming University' audition and subsequent safety concerns, auditions have been stopped and those outside of State Farm Arena have been asked to remove themselves from the line," officials with State Farm Arena said.
Cenat later confirmed the news on his Instagram Stories, resharing an announcement made by State Farm Arena, which said that auditions had been stopped because of "subsequent safety concerns."
The popular streamer had previously warned attendees to form a single line so organizers could "keep things moving."
Streamer University was established last year and held at the University of Akron in Ohio, where guests included DDG, India Love and Kya Renee (aka CookinwitKya). It's a multi-day experience where aspiring social media personalities and content creators can learn how to network and grow their following.
The audition tour had been held in New York and Los Angeles prior to landing in Atlanta. While applications for Streamer University are live, applicants must be 18 years old and can travel within the United States for event dates. The program includes three tiers of creators: 'Students,' 'Professors' and 'Club Directors.'
Soulja Boy has attempted to compete with Cenat by announcing 'Rapper University,' where he’s inviting participants to "learn" from him and "become a rap star."
