Jake Paul and Dutch speed skater Jutta Leerdam will soon meet each other at the altar.
On Saturday (March 22), the boxer and YouTuber, 28, announced in an Instagram post that he and Leerdam are engaged. In a carousel, Paul recapped his proposal, with Leerdam being photographed jumping excitedly and kissing her now-fiancé. In an Instagram Story, Leerdam told Paul that she "couldn't believe" her ring while the couple were surrounded by white flowers and candles in front of an island view.
Leerdam is an Olympic medalist who Paul reportedly began dating in March 2023. "We’re engaged💍🕊️🤍we can’t wait to spend forever together🥹," Paul captioned a collaborative post with Leerdam.
This month, Paul temporarily stepped away from the boxing ring to support Leerdam ISU World Speed Skating Single Distances Championships in Hamar, Norway. At the competition, the athlete won multiple medals, ending with bronze in the women's 1000m last Saturday (March 15).
"So proud of my baby 1st, 2nd, and 3rd this weekend at the world championships. She’s a 7 time world champion now😤," Paul posted on Instagram following Leerdam's competition. "The hardest worker and the most gorgeous. You inspire me babe. Isn’t ironic how the person who is the most important athlete to a sport is the one that they try to tear down the most. Can’t relate because we don’t fly at y’all’s altitude🤴🏼👸🏼I hope love runs the universe one day💞"
