Daniel Stern, famous for his role as Marv in the Home Alone series, has been cited in connection with an alleged prostitution sting operation in California.

According to TMZ, the 68-year-old, who played one-half of the "Wet Bandits" in Home Alone, was cited in Ventura County following the alleged sting at a hotel in Camarillo.

Although issued a citation on December 10, the actor has not been arrested or taken into custody. As it also has not been revealed whether Stern will face formal charges, police have not announced if the case will proceed or be dismissed.

Stern, who starred in Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, has kept a relatively low profile as a visual artist and farmer in the years since acting in the holiday franchise. His most recent film was 2019 sci-fi comedy James vs. His Future Self, and he also starred in former Apple TV+ series For All Mankind. Stern is next set to star in the movie Everything's Peachy, for which he is also director and executive producer.

In an interview with People last December, Stern said that he doesn't leave his farm amid 35th anniversary Home Alone celebrations. "It's no offense to the movie. I'm just ... a phone call, Zoom call, I'm in. but... I'm a bit of a homebody," he told the outlet.
