A number of former FaZe Clan members have come together to launch a new streaming group named CORE.
Made up of an acronym that means, 'Create Own Run Everything,' the six members include Marlon, Adapt, Lacy (real name Nick Fosco), Stable Ronaldo, Silky, and JasonTheWeen.
The group was unveiled during a livestream hosted by Banks, who is FaZe Clan’s former CEO. The stream was intended to be an explainer about why the group fell apart.
During the stream, Banks recalled his former clique having "succeeded" becoming popular streamers. "Everybody’s much better off because of it," he continued, adding that he needed to "fund" the group.
"I told them, 'I have this vision, I have this plan and it will work.' And it did," Banks said, before adding that their plan was to "figure the business out later."
A mass exodus of FaZe Clan happened last December, with Jason being one of the youngest to exit the group. The 21-year-old recently spoke to Complex about his decision to leave.
"It was sad, to be honest," Jason said. "It was basically FaZe before we joined… It was pretty much in shambles. … We never wanted that to happen, but some things just didn’t work out, you know? The corporate side of things—us, as a group, didn’t agree on specific things, which I will not go into… It just didn’t work out."
Among one of the most recognizable FaZe alum is PlaqueBoyMax, who has catapulted his career into becoming a successful independent streamer and Grammy-nominated producer. The 23-year-old left FaZe Clan last August.
