A viral video shows a Walt Disney World employee falling to the ground after being struck by a runaway prop boulder during an Indiana Jones stunt show this week.

The incident occurred on Tuesday (Dec. 30) during the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Florida.

During a climactic scene of the 30-minute performance, the 400-pound ball is meant to roll down a rocky mountain, but it bounced off the cliff and toward the audience.

One staffer thought fast and blocked the prop with his body but was knocked over in the process. Disney employees rushed to the man's aid while the show immediately ended.

According to WDW News Today, the injured staffer and former stunt performer, Robert, was taken to the hospital, where he received six stitches. As of Wednesday, the performance had resumed with the boulder removed from the track.

The stunt show reenacts scenes from 1981 adventure film Raiders of the Lost Ark, the first installment of the five-movie series. As depicted in the stunt show, a Raiders scene shows Indiana Jones being chased by a massive boulder, similar to a concluding part of Disneyland ride Indiana Jones Adventure.

Last January, the boulder rolled over a performer during a mechanical failure, as stuntmen are generally able to escape through a trap door on the set. According to Disney Parks Blog, the show has 12 "contingencies" for when stunts go awry.
