Ariana Grande continues to stress how much she doesn't want to be body shamed, resharing an old interview she did discussing the topic.

On Friday (November 29), the Wicked: For Good actor and singer reposted her December 2024 interview with co-star Cynthia Erivo and French journalist Sally. During the conversation, Grande explained how she was offended about the "harmful" narrative about her physical appearance.

"I’ve been doing this in front of the public and been a specimen in a Petri dish really since I was 16 or 17. I have heard it all. I’ve heard every version of it," Grande said. "You’re young and you’re hearing all kinds of things."

"It’s hard to protect yourself from that noise," she continued. "It’s something that is uncomfortable no matter what scale you’re experiencing it on, even if you go to Thanksgiving dinner and someone's granny says, 'Oh my God, you look skinnier, what happened?' or 'You look heavier, what happened?'"

She added: "In today's society, there is a comfortability that we shouldn't have at all–commenting on others' looks, appearance, what they think is going on behind the scenes, or health or how they present themselves ... that I think is really dangerous."

Grande shared that she's "really lucky" to have a strong "support system," along with knowing that she's "beautiful."

"Resharing this from last year as a loving reminder to all," Grande wrote over the clip on her Instagram Story.

In early 2024, Grande posted a TikTok about her size being compared to how she looked when she was younger, explaining that she didn't consider herself to be as "healthy" back then.

"I was on a lot of antidepressants and drinking on them and eating poorly and at the lowest point of my life when I looked the way you consider my healthy, but that, in fact, wasn't my healthy," she said in the TikTok below.
