Sandra Bullock is brand new to Instagram. In a statement to People last year, she explained that she wasn’t on any form of social media. "Please be aware that I do not participate in any form of social media. Any accounts pretending to be me or anyone associated with me are fake accounts and have been created for financial gain or to exploit people around me," she said, calling out the scammers who were impersonating her.
However, the actress has recently joined Instagram and has been commenting on posts from her famous friends. She started with Channing Tatum, who she costarred with in The Lost City. A fan referenced his 2024 GQ interview, when he revealed that he bought a year’s worth of shirts to avoid doing laundry, and Bullock commented, “Of course you did,” with a winking emoji.
She also left a comment beneath a video of Jennifer Aniston doing Jason Bateman’s hair. She said, “Me next mama? Going for a witchy look…”
The witch reference is most likely related to Bullock’s upcoming appearance in Practical Magic 2. She will be starring alongside Nicole Kidman, who she also contacted on Instagram. She left a comment on a video of the pair hugging, which was captioned, “The witches are back. Owens sisters’ first day on set!” Bullock added, “Oh we’re so back.”
Bullock also left a comment on a photo posted by her other Practical Magic 2 costar, Joey King. She wrote, “My blood. Your blood. Our blood. iykyk.”
The original Practical Magic movie was released in 1998. It was a romantic fantasy film based on an Alice Hoffman novel. When discussing the upcoming sequel, Deadline reported that Kidman said fans can expect “midnight margaritas, jumping off the roof and also [having] our past [catch] up with us. We have our destinies, and the family. I think it’s going to be really, really fun.”
