Pete Davidson Gets New Face Tattoo After Spending $200K Removing Others

'It's pretty tough. It sucks, I'm not gonna lie,' he said about the tattoo removal process.

Pete Davidson, who formerly starred on Saturday Night Live, recently appeared at CinemaCon 2026. Although his arms are now bare, after spending years removing his tattoos, he has seemingly gotten new ink. On the left side of his face, the name of his child, Scottie, was written vertically in all capital letters between his sideburn and his ear.

In a 2025 interview with Variety, Davidson spoke candidly about the tattoo removal process. "It's like putting your arm on a grill and burning off a layer, and then you gotta do maintenance and let it heal properly. And it's pretty tough. It sucks, I'm not gonna lie."

Although the process is not easy to undergo, he explained the reason why he wanted many of his old tattoos covered up. “I used to be a drug addict and I was a sad person, and I felt ugly and that I needed to be covered up,” he stated. “So I’m just removing them and starting fresh, because that’s what I think works best for me and for my brain. When I look in the mirror, I don’t want the reminder of ‘Oh yeah, you were a fucking drug addict. Like, that’s why you have SpongeBob smoking a joint on your back.’”

In 2025, Davidson welcomed his first child with Elsie Hewitt, an actress and model who formerly posed for Playboy. Her Instagram post about the baby’s birth was captioned, “Our perfect angel girl arrived 12/12/2025 Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson. My best work yet, I am absolutely overflowing with love and gratitude and disbelief.”

Davidson will be appearing in How to Rob a Bank, a new action comedy heist film, this September. The film will also star Nicholas Hoult, Anna Sawai, Zoë Kravitz, Rhenzy Feliz, John C. Reilly, and Christian Slater.
