Euphoria star Dominic Fike recently revealed that he has a son named Rocket, who is nearly two years old. Although the actor has been candid about his drug use in the past, he has admitted that ever since becoming a father, he doesn’t party as much as he once did.
"He motivates me to be stable and sober for one and better about... my debauchery and stuff," Fike said when speaking with Pigeons & Planes about fatherhood. "He makes me want to write songs for people his age and he makes me want to acquire property for him to grow up in. Also, stay close to my friends, so he has friends to grow up with. He makes me want to make sure my reputation is okay, so I can still go into school meetings, and not have to be shunned from the PTA thingy because I’m like a psycho."
Fike made his first appearance on Euphoria during the second season. He played Elliot, a character dealing with substance abuse. Although this was Fike’s first major acting role, he admitted, "I don't have to do much acting. He's exactly like me. It's sh*t I would say and shit I would do."
When speaking with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, he added, “I mean, I was a drug addict and coming onto a show mainly about drugs was very difficult. Sam, the director and writer, he got me a sober coach, somebody to be there, you know, all the time. Did not work. I was so fucked up during a lot of that show. It was really bad.”
However, now that he has a son, he claimed, “I just don’t party like that right now.”
Season three of Euphoria will be airing on April 12 on HBO, and streaming on HBO Max.
