Thornton’s girlfriend, Jada Christie, excitedly jumped up and down before kissing him and accepting the engagement ring. The special moment took place at Huntsville Comic & Pop Culture Expo in Huntsville, Alabama in front of a crowd of fans.

According to People, Christie spoke about her relationship with Thornton in her Instagram Stories. She said, “I came from a relationship where I had to beg to be treated right to being worshipped by David. I met David when I was still with the person who did not treat me right. But David was not the reason the relationship ended. My dad passed away and I realized how short life really is and how badly I needed change. We officially started dating in July and my life has changed for the better.”
The pair starting dating in July and have been posting about each other on social media since August. They share a chihuahua named Lulu.
