Becky G started dating professional soccer player, Sebastian Lletget, after meeting through her Power Rangers co-star, Naomi Scott. The pair got engaged in December of 2022 after dating for six years. However, only a few months later, a woman posted on Instagram, claiming she had proof that Lletget cheated on the star.

Shortly after, Lletget took to Instagram to apologize to his fiancé. He said, "To Becky, you have been the light in my life, my strength, who has always shown me unconditional love. Instead of honoring that love every day, I have done the opposite, hurting you, and disrespecting the one person I love more than anything. I am so sorry and know I have to do whatever it takes to earn back the trust and love you deserve."

On the April 1 episode of Call Her Daddy, Becky G opened up about the cheating allegations. “The thing about betrayal is it doesn't just make you not trust the other person,” she said. “You don't trust yourself anymore. This isn't even about them. This is about me. And there was something so empowering about that process to say, 'No, I come first.'"

She went on to explain, "My ground zero was people pleasing, self-sacrificing, doing what other people wanted me to do, forgetting that I mattered in that equation. This was an opportunity in my life to unlock and go inward and make this about me, which was so uncomfortable."

Although Becky G said she felt “betrayed by” her partner, she confirmed that they are still together. She even admitted she could still see herself getting married to him in the future. "I would love to,” she said. “Like, re-propose to me."

According to People, the star now has a positive outlook on the situation. "Post-traumatic growth is a choice,” she said. “I do think that there is a shift in mentality that happened for me where it was like, I don't want to be a victim of anything."
