'It is a privilege and it is completely 100 percent self-inflicted,' the podcaster said. 'I just want you guys again to know the truth.'

Bunnie Xo, a podcaster who is married to Jelly Roll, revealed her plans to get a facelift back in February. She recently underwent the procedure, but it didn’t go as well as she had expected. The 46-year-old opened up about the “barbaric” experience on the April 7 episode of her Dumb Blonde podcast.

“I still can’t laugh, I’m still in a lot of pain, I still feel like my throat’s closing right now as we talk,” she admitted before calling out her friends who have had facelifts for not warning her how horrible the seven-hour experience would be. “Granted, it’s only been two weeks. I have zero patience.”

The podcaster went on to say, “I did it to myself and it is what it is. I’m not over here complaining, but I am gonna always give you the real because this is exactly the reality of getting a facelift. And I don’t feel like people show this side of it.”

Bunnie revealed she took Tylenol to manage the pain, along with anti-anxiety medication to deal with the feeling of choking she experienced due to fluid buildup under her chin.

“It’s a privilege to be able to get a facelift,” she said. “And I am not shitting on the fact that it is a privilege and it is completely 100 percent self-inflicted. I just want you guys again to know the truth because I want—I wish I had had somebody like me, because I fucking did a whole ton of research and everybody’s like, ‘Oh, God, it’s fucking glamorous,’ you know? And I’m just like, ‘Everybody’s healing perfectly. Everybody’s fine. Nobody’s showing the nitty-gritty.’”

The Dumb Blonde podcast releases new episodes on Wednesdays. According to the official site, it covers “relationships, trauma, embarrassing moments, and all the realness life throws at us.”
