Alix Earle, the 25-year-old influencer who recently appeared on Dancing with the Stars, got candid about her ex-boyfriend during the April 3 episode of The Drew Barrymore Show.
When asked about the last bad idea she had, Earle admitted, “Oh my gosh, probably texting my ex at like five in the morning after going out, not the best idea. And you know what, it was really sweet. I was on the floor. I had a few drinks and I was like, looking with one eye at the phone and my sister’s like, if you’re gonna send this, at least send it with it all spelled correctly. So she’s helping me like check all the spelling on everything and I’m like, this is so great. I was like, sitting by the microwave waiting for my mac and cheese to get heated up. It was, you know, not the, not the best idea but I did it.”
Earle didn’t specify which ex she was speaking about during the interview, but she previously dated Braxton Berrios — an NFL player for the Houston Texans — for two years. In February, she opened up about seeing Berrios in person for the first time after their breakup at the Palm Tree Music Festival in Aspen, Colorado.
“It was honestly just really hard for me,” she admitted. “Really weird, really hard. I was really emotional. The first night we were like in the same place but we didn’t say hi to each other, just because I didn’t want to go up and annoy him, I don’t know, but I could see him out the corner of my eye.”
She went on to say, “It’s weird when you go from someone being like your best friend to being a stranger in the corner of the room. So that was tough, and by tough I mean terrible.”
