Sydney Sweeney might be in trouble with the law.
TMZ reports that the Euphoria actress climbed to the Hollywood Sign and strung up bras across it, without permission. Footage obtained by the outlet shows a production team filming Sweeney one night, as she attempts to hang the undergarments.
Insiders told TMZ that the stunt was promo for her new lingerie line, which Jeff Bezos has invested in.
Though Sydney obtained a permit to shoot at the Hollywood Sign, she wasn’t allowed to touch or climb it.
“There was no permission granted to do this as is required,” the Chair of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce told TMZ.
TMZ also obtained a Jan. 23 email from the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, which owns the sign.
“Please be advised that the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce owns the intellectual property rights to use of the image of the Hollywood Sign, and neither you nor the production company have sought or received permission to use the images for any commercial use,” the email said, in part.
Because she touched and climbed the sign, Sweeney could face criminal trespass and/or vandalism charges, per the outlet.
